COVID-19 Update

A few points on therapy with us during the pandemic

the situation

  • We at PSYNT take the health of our clients very seriously. Due to the diverse nature of the clients we work with, we come in contact with many people each day: people who travel, people with chronic illness, people from risk groups, etc. Therefore, not only do we endeavor to ensure the safety of our clients, but we also strive to do the same for ourselves.

  • However, even with all the necessary precautions, COVID-19 has proven itself to be highly contagious. Therefore, by attending therapy in person at our office, we assume that you know the risks involved and hold yourself accountable for your own safety. PSYNT therapists cannot be liable for you contracting COVID-19 when attending in-person therapy.

  • Please note that the people in the building as well as your therapist may be part of a high-risk group.

the precautions

  • We are fully vaccinated.

  • Though our cancellation policy dictates a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, we understand that sickness doesn’t keep a schedule. Therefore, if you feel ill, have a fever, any cold symptoms, or any symptoms associated with COVID-19, stay at home. We can have our session online or postpone the in-person session until you feel better. If you’re not sure, err on the side of caution.

  • Do not come in person if you know for a fact you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days.

  • Do not come in person if you have recently (within the last 10 days) arrived from an area with a high rate of infection. You can track contamination rates through various websites, such as the travel advice website of the Dutch government.

  • Please come to your session alone, unless it is for couples’ therapy or unless the other person is your carer. We cannot guarantee that the person accompanying you will be able to stay in the lobby of the building.

  • Please disinfect/wash your hands upon arrival.

  • Mask use is now optional. We ask that you refrain from eating/drinking during the session.
